Mutants™

The settings is Creepsville, a nice quiet town with an interesting feature: a nuclear power plant . Lately the dumping of nuclear waste into the stream that runs past Creepsville has caused strange mutations in the local fauna and even flora. Man-eating plants, octopus-like creatures, and even mutated humans have been spotted around the area. My idea for the game graphics was to make them intentionally plain - full strokes with bright primary colors.

Description
One of the most promising MMORPG game idea I've been developing lately is Mutants™. The mechanics are ambitious within the genre, as Mutants will allow a player to start with a character that is either a human or a blob, and as the player progresses gaining experience and leveling, the Mutant™ character is free to twist, grow and evolve into any form the user wants. If the player chooses a human character to start with, he will be capable of more basic tasks but will have less capacity to evolve. The flipside of this is the lack of flexibility the character will have, if starting out as little more than primordial sludge.

Whatever the beginnings, players will be capable of adapting their characters in countless ways: some will learn to crawl very well, others might grow mutiple twisting tentacles, a few may even learn to soar through the air, and yet other 'generalists' may adapt to a variety of tasks without focusing on a single one.

Whether you will rule the seas, sky or land, becoming the most powerful mutant and wrecking havoc on the little town of Creepsville, and eventually perhaps, the WORLD!

Gotta hand it to Blizzard: WoW was heluva game!

That just brings back memories... its like... like... I need my fix, again! (AWW DANG! After all that rehab!)

Prehistorik World! - (PC GAME) The Next Great MMORPG

I'm using the title screen from the original 1992 Prehistorik–II, by Titus Interactive: Used here to give an impression of the general ‘feel’ that I'm thinking of. Of course the actual game would have 3D graphics and the works. But I think this shot has imagery that really makes the idea clearer.

The World Long Ago...
A flowing river cuts through a dense forest, deep in a lost valley. The Mountain range envelopes the forest and in the distance, an active volcano spews soot and sulfur into the clear sky. Pterosaurs nesting in these hills fly through the air, with their eerie cawing resounding across the valley. A system of caves lies at the base of that mountain range. In these caves dwells primitive Man. Some grip clubs in their rough hands, about to set off into the forests to hunt beasts. Yet others sit by the fire ready to cook meat.

You find yourself amongst these men. The world is real and alive, and there is no limit to what u can do in this world. It’s up to you to carve out your destiny. It’s your Adventure!

You and your friends can embark on an epic adventure in this prehistoric world! You may meet new people from other tribes and discover forests teeming with prehistoric wildlife – from dinosaurs to (now) extinct mammals and reptiles. Some too powerful and dangerous to approach. Others may be hunted for food and resources. Yet others may be docile and friendly. You may even tame them to work for you, or serve as your mount!

In this world there are other people. Other tribes! Some may be friendly to you and your friends. Others may be antagonists. And yet some enemies may be befriended. Its up to your tact, your communication skills, your diplomacy.

Will you make new friends, or betray your old ones? Will you be banished from your tribe to roam the lands alone until you find others willing to take you in? Or perhaps, without the support of your friends you may even perish in these foreign lands…

And yet, through your skill for survival, it may be that your renown will spread through the lands and every caveman shall be in awe of your greatness. Perhaps you will find new pastures, and found your own settlement.

Whatever the outcomes, in this Prehistorik World, the choices are yours to make.
